Beginning Of The End
Getting up late, out of a dirty bed,
He looks at his feet and then he turns his
head,
He sees her beside him looking wasted and
tired,
She aint got a job, and yesterday he was
fired.
He walks to the front room, steps around
glass,
His life which was once good has changed
oh so fast,
She tries to smile, but it turns upside
down,
He’s flooded with thoughts, of her
attempting to drown
It’s the beginning of the end,
Obvious to anyone,
There’s no turning back,
You can’t erase what is done.
It’s the beginning of the end,
Though no one wants it this way,
But the beginning of the end,
Is now upon them this day.
The
lines by his eyes, darken with every day,
The marks on her wrists increase and
don’t fade away,
He’s filled up with sadness, you can
tell by his face,
But she can’t do a thing, she knows
it’s all been a waste.
He looks in her eyes, and asks himself to
pretend,
That there was hope left for them, that is
was far from the end,
But the distance between them, is too much
to mend,
And they are falling apart, it’s all the
start of the end.
It’s the beginning of the end,
Obvious to anyone,
There’s no turning back,
You can’t erase what is done.
It’s the beginning of the end,
Though no one wants it this way,
But the beginning of the end,
Is now upon them this day.
